Texas Roots, Texas Boots

Remember yesterday when I said I was excited to get back to my Texas roots? Well, it seems that I'm doing it in style. Over the weekend my mom, Trav and I ventured into Wimblerly, whose slogan is 'If you're in a hurry, you're in the wrong town'. The sun was shining, the people were smiling and the smell of Texas barbecue filled the air. On a whim we stopped into the Wild West Store, which proved to be more of an experience than a shop. Wall to wall shelves of beautiful, and sometimes wild, cowboy boots made for great browsing.

The Wild West Store is also home of the Boot Whisperer.  At first glance Ulli can fit you into a perfect pair of boots and you don't even need to tell her your shoe size. Needless to say, I got whispered. I walked out (or moseyed if you will) in an awesome pair of light brown boots with a dark brown detail at the toe. Once we got home, I took my new boots out into the cactus and cedar trees for some inspired photography.
